Dear Editors,

There can be no redemption for us and I am ashamed. Not the least of which for believing in the power of the creation of art and for calling myself a poet besides. What renown should I claim, when the poet who wrote the following words remains unknown?:

When we resist they slaughter us but they slaughter us anyway so we resist. . .

The poems and monologue submitted here are soaked in what visionary Chris Baker has called the luxury of outrage and as such are without value, though I do hope you enjoy them.

“VOTARY” and “PROLETARIAN” are cocksure and written with a defiant love. “THIRD ACT” bandies the stupid swagger of the American worker and “THE NEW OLD MEDIA” from IN THE CITY is an attempt at actualizing a new new media (NNM) in a failing state. “UNTITLED” is without hope and, as such, honest.

The only dignity left the American worker is in choosing to be kind. I look forward to being together with you at the issue’s release.
