INTRODUCING BRAMBLEWINE MONTHLY
A POEM, A PARSING AND A PLEA
A POEM
A PARSING
I’ve been dying a slow and agonizing death since August. Capitalism am I right. I paid off 5 grand in debt and I’ve got a grand to go. Whether or not it’s impossible to get ahead, my low self esteem isn’t helping, and neither is overeating and sleeping all the time. Dignity was never part of the equation, was it? My body is breaking down and my soul is dying. I need to get in shape and I’m called to spiritual work.
The self-publishing tools of the “social internet” I’ve used to facilitate change, in my life and independent media, are compromised. I built my brand on these platforms while capitalism assured their enshittification. The public only soils what’s left.
Narcissism writ large and a quantitative truth aren’t even the worst things about it. Our need to be seen and a corporately curated algo complete the circuit of the surveillance state. I’m disgusted with every post that starts with “I”—my own included. It’s a sickness and glued to the screen is right where they want us.
AND A PLEA
BRAMBLEWINE MONTHLY will address these concerns. I’ve been interviewing gurus and change makers on their inspiration and best practices. How can we fortify ourselves and improve the lives of working people?
I’m shoring up our network and utilizing alternate sources of publication and communication with you. I’ll be reaching out to you personally and putting effort in to steeling a genuine platform—one that nourishes and keeps us stepping. Expect me.
In the meantime…
